Kitchen Appliances With Multiple Uses

Posted on January 18, 2022 at 1:07 pm

When shopping, it is likely that you will see so many kitchen appliances and there is no way anyone is going to be able to find storage for them all. So, what are some kitchen appliances that can have multiple uses?

Kitchen Blender
One kitchen appliance that is known for having multiple uses is a simple kitchen blender. Not only can this be used to create smoothies, but that is also its intended purpose. But you can use it for more than just that. This can be used for creating bread crumbs, slushies, and even pureed baby food.

Stand Mixer
Another kitchen appliance that comes with multiple uses is a stand mixer. commonly people assume it is used for baking cakes, that it will only come with a whisk attachment. But this is not the case, it can be used for making dough, and other recipes.

Kitchen Appliances That Speed Up The Process

Posted on October 29, 2021 at 12:03 pm

There are a wide variety of kitchen appliances out there that we can purchase for our kitchens. But today we are going to focus on kitchen appliances that help to speed up the cooking process.

Slow Cooker
Despite its name, a slow cooker does help to speed up the process. A slow cooker allows you to add your ingredients into its bowl and cook slowly throughout the day. This helps to speed up the process as it means you do not need to spend a long time in the kitchen cooking. You can get on with other things whilst your food is cooking.

Electric Whisk
Another kitchen appliance that helps to speed up the cooking process is an electric whisk. We all know the pain of whisking items with a hand whisk. Well, an electric whisk takes away this effort, making it easier, and speeding up the process. This will help you to be more effective in the kitchen by using this appliance.

George Foreman Grill
A George Foreman grill is one of my favourite kitchen appliances to use that helps to speed up the cooking process. When you are cooking meats, it can take a long time to cook them in the oven. But with your George foreman, you can simply put your meat in and it’ll be complete within the matter of minutes. No more waiting around for your meat to be cooked.

Air Fryer
Finally, an air fryer. This is a good machine to speed up the cooking process as well as helping to keep your friend goods healthy. All you have to do is put your ingredients in the basket in the air fryer and set it up. The air fryer will beep once it’s all ready, meaning you can again get ton with other stuff, helping to speed up the process.

Could a Food Blender Make a Difference to you?

Posted on September 24, 2018 at 8:38 pm

There are lots of food blender types on the market, for use by professional cooks and everyday people wanting to make good food. Can a blender really make a difference to the kind of food you make, and its quality?

The answer is most definitely a resounding yes. A food blender depends on its blades to blend food and make it the right consistency. If you choose a powerful food blender, then it will change the texture of your food and can easily make liquids and pastes. You will also be able to put it in pulse mode to blend food gradually, or reduce the power if needed.

There are many types of blender, from smoothie and juice makers to handheld blenders for things like soup. Most caterers will have various blenders to meet different purposes, so this is an important consideration when choosing which items of kitchen technology to invest in.

Nutri Ninja vs NutriBullet

Posted on October 26, 2016 at 4:20 pm

We have spent the past 3 months comparing the Nutri Ninja and the NutriBullet, it seems clear that each one has strengths that could suit your specific purpose. Ninja brand systems are ideal for creating side dishes, smoothies, and frozen dessert recipes, which will tend to call for softer kinds of ingredients that are best suited to the Ninja system.

The NutriBullet is definitely a better choice for creating juice based smoothies and also for preparing heartier dishes like soups, that use more substantial ingredients like broccoli or carrots. It also does better with produce that is still whole, with skin and stems intact, resulting in juices and soups that retain all of the nutrients found in fresh ingredients. But overall we feel as if the Nutri Ninja is the best all-round appliance and value for money. So you know what to do if you’re looking for an all-in-one…

Getting Rid of Limescale From Your Kettle

Posted on August 21, 2016 at 2:43 pm

Limescale manifests itself as chalky surface deposits. It inhibits heat conductivity, and clogs whistles of tea kettles, tubes in electric kettles and coffee makers, and hardens and clogs other parts that may need to move, such as important safety features like pressure release valves.

It is common in hard water, and to the degree of abundancy in naturally occurring calcium and magnesium. It is not common in softened water unless the softening system is not being properly maintained.

Frequency of de-scaling depends on frequency of use and degree of water hardness. Check regularly for surface deposits.
Add ½ cup of white vinegar to each quart of water and boil the mixture in the kettle for about 10 minutes. Rinse thoroughly.

NutriBullet – Yea or Nay?

Posted on April 24, 2016 at 8:49 pm

You may have heard of the NutriBullet, and it’s known for being incredibly compact yet still powerful enough to blend whole nuts into a fine paste. Many people use the NutriBullet blender to make smoothies or soups, but you can also use it to prepare meals like stews and curries, so it’s essentially a high-tech pestle and mortar.

Another advantage of the NutriBullet is that it’s incredibly easy to use, as you simply push down on the container to activate it, plus it’s designed to stay in position so there is minimal risk of injury. There are similar models on the market at a much cheaper price, but they just don’t have the same build quality as the NutriBullet, which is always going to be seen as the original compact blender with plenty of power. If you need a small bender that’s strong enough to mix some of the toughest ingredients, this could be the item for you, and it’s available from good British supermarkets.

Posted on April 23, 2015 at 3:41 pm

Take your guests back in time by giving your kitchen a back-in-the-day design. Those were the times when the ladies made all of their baking from scratch and kitchens were the most important part of the house. And if you don’t want to go all-out for the design, you can just put in some vintage kitchenware accessories, to give your kitchen a bit of a look and feel. Here are some must-haves that should not be missed.

Old Appliances
While you may not want to compromise your stove or fridge for a vintage appliance, using something like a toaster or a mixes can be the perfect option. Make sure they are somewhere visible if you want them to make part of the look of your kitchen. On the other hand, if you find a vintage appliance that is no longer functional, you can use it as a decorative item. Again, it will probably need to be something on the smaller side, but it will be sure to add character. (more…)

Pressure Cookers – What are they and what are they used for?

Posted on December 28, 2014 at 12:24 pm

Pressure cookers are something which has long had a place in accomplished chef’s kitchens, but they have steadily been finding their way into the everyday person’s kitchen. What they are is essentially a highly engineered saucepan which can be calibrated to allow different levels of pressure. This serves a lot of different functions, but it is primarily used to cook meat evenly so that it is in excellent condition for eating.

You can get very simple pressure cookers which only perform this function, or you can get ones which serve multiple functions. The Morphy Richards 6 litre pressure cooker can serve up to 6 people, and contains a stainless steel basket which can be used to steam vegetables. It also has a number of other features, such as heat resistant handles so that the cooker can be lifted easily, as well as an easy to lift lid; all designed ergonomically to maximise practical usage.
